Imagine that a person is walking inside a cave. To see through the darkness he uses a headlamp, which shines light in whatever direction it’s pointed. But, because of the headlamp’s low intensity and modest size, he can only see about four feet in front of him – everything else remains in darkness. Now imagine that that person is a business, with all its employees unable to identify anything that is not immediately before them. If you were to bring a floodlight into this cave you would illuminate everything, and that light would surely allow both the person and the business to manage the challenges the cave presents with more agility and skill. TIME is that floodlight for businesses. The idea for TIME was born from a desire to watch New Zealand businesses develop and grow. My position as the Managing Director and founder of the Corporate Events Guide has allowed me the wonderful opportunity to meet many of New Zealand’s most successful business speakers. On meeting them I was taken aback by their sheer passion for helping others achieve success in business and how each speaker takes a different angle on how to achieve that success, whether it be by creating a powerful brand or simply getting along with your workmates. Their combined knowledge creates a portal to boundless potential for business growth. At this year’s TIME convention, 24 professional speakers will be offering up their knowledge and skills – no other event allows people to soak up this level of information in one day.
