Kevin Biggar and Jamie Fitzgerald are modern-day adventurers, business consultants and hilarious and entertaining presenters.
Kevin first came to public attention when he left his job as a strategy consultant to take part in the trans-Atlantic rowing race. Jamie was literally thrown in at the deep end when he joined the team as a last-minute replacement, and he had only three weeks to prepare for the world’s toughest endurance event. Despite not knowing each other, they survived storms and capsizing to not only win in a desperate and thrilling race but also set a new world record.
In 2007 they teamed up again to take on an even more audacious challenge – to walk unsupported to the South Pole. For 52 days they pulled sleds of 160kgs at temperatures as low as -40°C to become the first New Zealanders to achieve this feat.
